Hello! I’m Sze Yee.

I'm a UX designer based in Singapore, with a background in sales. I'm currently a Product Designer dabbling with both software and hardware design, at a drone startup called Performance Rotors. I previously did UX design at Rakuten Viki and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

How it all started

For 2 years, I represented various clients, marketed and sold their products/services to customers. Many customers lamented on their not-so-great experiences but my role only allowed me to be their messenger, nothing more. That was when I first got exposure to the world of UX.

Today, I took the leap and decided on a career change into UX and am enjoying solving complex problems from a design perspective.

Things that make me happy

🤪 Making Puns; I usually do them impromptu with my partner in supermarkets and post them on Instagram stories. My friends laugh at them most of the thyme.

✈️ Travelling; I love waking up to scenic views and trying out cuisines around the world.

🖋 Writing; This has always been a passion of mine and I've recently started writing about my UX projects and journey on Medium.

📚 Reading; I live for Murakami's works. I admire how he elevates the everyday mundane to compelling masterpieces that always leave me in awe.
