Daily UI Challenges - A Compilation

15 days of different user interface designs

What is the Daily UI Challenge?

The Daily UI Challenge is a set of design challenges aimed to help designers sharpen their skills with daily prompts. These prompts are sent on weekdays, via emails by the Daily UI team.

Why did I decide to do this?

I wanted to improve my skills in User Interface design using different tools in the Adobe Creative Suite, as well as Figma. I also wanted to use the challenge as a means of inspiration, and take the opportunity to explore different design trends, colours and typography.

Scope and Tools

Timeline: 15 days

Tools: Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Figma

What I Learnt

I am glad that I decided to do this challenge, as it allowed me to gain some exposure on different types of UI designs. I also got to try out new design trends like glassmorphism, as well as explore the use of different typography and colours.

I have learnt a lot, despite only doing the challenge for 15 days. It not only forced me to step out of my comfort zone to create designs that I have never done before (e.g. app logo, creating micro-interactions), I also learnt to generate ideas and make design decisions more efficiently. However, on hindsight, it will probably be a better idea for me to design the UI screens based around a central theme, for more consistency. I will definitely jump back on this challenge again in the future, and create better designs.
